If you are looking to step up your makeup routine this fall than you have to check this out Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion.

It is a sheer, totally nude eye base that glides on with a wand (like a lip gloss wand). I wear all different types of eyeshadows: powders, crèmes, pencils and eyeliner. This is the only product I have found that literally keeps my eye make up on all day and it does not crease, run or smudge. It also helps keep my eyeshadow color more vibrant thru out the day. I especially like to use it for special occasions and for a smoky eye look…this rocks!

I am always perusing You Tube for "how to's" on make up tips. I stumbled across this gal about 6 months ago and I have to say I love her tutorials on different ways to do your eye make up. Especially the popular smokey eye. Her name is Lauren Luke, not only do I love her tips on applying eye make up but I love her accent.

Lauren has become such a huge internet sensation that she is launching her own line of eye makeup. I will warn you, you will be addicted.

Check out her website and have fun creating your own look!

I finally found a quickie tan that really worked for me.

I tried the Mystic Tan at Hollywood Tan. The UV-free tanner takes all of 15 minutes tops...from the time you step into the booth and step out. What is the most important part of the tanning process is preparing your skin ahead of time and applying the barrier cream properly...this goes on the areas of your body that have a tendancy to get dry, elbows, knees, feet, hands and around your nails. If you do it right, your tan will look natural and awesome. The tan will last 4 -7 days. My tan lasted about 7 days!

My advice-
Take the time to do a good job to exfoliate your entire body and face before getting your tan. This will help to keep your skin ...

My darn sensitive skin!

Over the years, I have avoided wearing foundation like the plague. I have decent skin, never suffered from acne (thank God) and I was terrified to wear foundation because of the cakey feeling and my super sensitive skin. A friend who works in the industry recommended Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, she was sure this would do the trick. I decided to go for the Flawless Face Kit, which included a primer, moisturizer, setting powder, and under eye camouflage and brushes.

I took it home and gave it a try. The kit was very nice and for someone who hasn't worn a foundation, it was very easy to do and the coverage was great. It was the after effects that weren't so great. A few hours later, there were lumps and bumps over my face as though I had been stung by a swarm of bees and the under eye area ...

What self tanning products work for you?

It's that time of year, weddings, graduation and pool parties and vacations. While we all love the sun, laying out in it in the quest for the perfect tan, isn't so smart.

I have gotten quite a few emails from our listeners asking about self tanning products. Great question!

I am curious to see what self tanning products have you used in the past....what did you like about them...what did you not like about them. Do they work?

Thanks

I have been doing my nails since I was a kid. I am always looking for something that goes on quick and will last…hey, we are all busy!

I recently tried the new Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Color...and I got to say it works pretty well! I found the brush a little hard to get used to…it is a large wide flat shaped brush….but it only takes 1 - 2 strokes to cover your nail….and you don’t get that extra polish on your skin like you do with the other type of brush. The polish is a little thicker than most so it may take a few tries to get used to it…..it gives great coverage, although depending on the color you choose, you may need to apply 2 coats. The bottle is shaped like a triangle which makes it a little hard ...

Welcome to my closet!

Howdy!

So, I was asked if I would be in interested in blogging about fashion. Fashion??? Me??? Are you serious? The gal who when not at work, lives in jeans and rock T-shirts and who loves her Chuck Taylor's? Me, are you joking?

As it turns out the more I thought about it, yes I do like fashion. I LOVE clothes, accessories, make-up, funky nail polish and my real weakness....SHOES! I have over 160 pairs of shoes and boots.

I also go gaga over eyeglasses. I am quite squeamish about eyeballs, so having eye surgery is out of the question for me. So I figured if I was going to have to wear glasses, they might as well be cool and be a fashion accessory. To give you an idea, I have about 20 pairs of glasses.

I also love to do different stuff with my hair. Trust me; there ...
