Cris' Animal Friends Critter of the Week for July 12th:

Aries

3 years old, Akita / Chow Mix

Aries is a handsome young man with a jaunty walk and a dignified manner. A lovely 3-year-old Akita/Chow mix, Aries has a spectacular black and white coat and full fluffy tail that starts to wag immediately when he realizes that he is going for a walk!

Aries originally came to Animal Friends as one of a litter of puppies that was confiscated in a humane investigation. His previous family had children and another dog and he found that environment too stimulating, so Aries would prefer to be the only pet in an adult home.

Aries would love to find a family who is committed to helping him become more confident by training him using positive reinforcement. We highly recommend bringing him to a classes, such as Animal Friend’s Shy Dog class.

Best of all, by adopting from Animal Friends, you make it possible for them to rescue and care for another pet who truly needs help. So, what are you waiting for? Let's sit down together!

Aries has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. If you can help, come to Animal Friends at 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 or call 412.847.7002. You can also start your application online, so get started by clicking here!
