Cris' Animal Friends Critter of the Week for December 23rd:

Martin

7 Years Old

Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix

As a result of life's many changes, Martin can be fearful at first, but he will warm up to you when a treat is involved. Martin looks at you with his big brown eyes and needs to know that he can trust you and that you want to be his friend. Once he is comfortable with you he enjoys having his neck scratched and his shoulders massaged.

Martin is a great walker on the leash. He enjoys the outdoors and is lively and alert. During his daily walks he will glance back at you as if to say "Can we go a little further...please?"

Martin is crate trained and has quickly caught on to our potty break schedule. He knows how to sit and shake a paw when told. He loves his soft doggy bed and most afternoons can be found sound asleep snuggled on it. Martin isn't very playful but he does love his soft squeaky toys.

It is recommended that Martin live in an adult only home where he can soak up all of the love and attention his new parent/parents can give.
