Beagle
Hi! My name is Rooney and I am a 6 year old Beagle. I am here at Animal Friends because my previous owner had health problems and could no longer take care of me. Since my name is so popular in Pittsburgh, let me tell you a little bit about me that makes me a very special ‘Rooney!’
I love to be around people. One of my favorite things is getting my belly rubbed! I will let you rub my belly for as long as you would like to. I will even paw at your hand to make you keep petting me! Like any Beagle, I love to go on long, slow, walks. I need enough time outside to smell everything there is to smell!
Unfortunately, I have heard my people friends at the shelter saying that I am overweight!! This is no fun. I would love to be healthy and to lose the weight so that I can live the best life possible! Because of this, I would need a family that would give me plenty of exercise and stick to a strict diet for me. Another thing that is special about me is that I like other dogs and kids!
