Cris' Animal Friends Critter of the Week for May 28th:

Spider

4 Years Old

I was returned to Animal Friends because the people who adopted me could no longer afford to keep me. They already had a dog and two other cats, and they had seniority. By the way, I loved their older cat; she was 18, and we slept next to each other regularly. She would also groom me which I appreciated.

At age 4, I'm still a young kitty. When I want attention, I’ll seek people out! Being a long haired cat, I ask to be brushed/combed frequently. I don’t consider this high maintenance; it’s just something long haired cats need to keep looking good. You may like it as much as I do!

I love to look out windows to see what is going on in the outside world (Although I want to stay safe inside). Although I am a little on the shy side, especially with strangers, I will warm up to you, as long as you are patient and let it happen on my terms.

To sum up, I am looking for some patience, regular grooming, and access to at least one window. I don’t think those are too many things to ask for in exchange for unconditional love! (At Animal Friends, we request a donation of $75 for a cat or $100 for a kitten. But, we believe that adopting two cats is twice as nice! At Animal Friends, one adoption donation covers two feline adoptions!)
