4 Years Old
American Pit Bull Terrier
Animal Friends’ Humane Officers rescued O’Smiley from a situation where he was not receiving proper care, and boy is he happy to be with Animal Friends.
O’Smiley is a very fun loving, happy, social boy who loves people. He also loves his “babies” (stuffed toys) and carries one in his mouth everywhere he goes. He’s happy to share if it means that he gets to have fun playing with both a person and one of his “babies” at the same time. He can barely contain his excitement and wiggles his entire body! Treats are also one of his very favorite things, and he is very responsive to basic obedience when the treats come out.
Because O’Smiley is a young dog, he will need to have appropriate exercise that takes into account the fact that his front legs are a bit bowed. He is a bundle of energy and doesn’t let anything hold him back, but supervision is needed when he plays so he doesn’t overdo things. He doesn’t know that he’s not 100% physically perfect, and we don’t have the heart to tell him, so we just keep an eye on him instead.
If yours is a home with older children, dog experience and no other pets, O’Smiley might be just the addition you’re looking for.
