Chris Shovlin is the Morning News Anchor on WISH 99.7 and is Director of Marketing & Promotion at all three Renda Broadcasting Corporation stations (WSHH/WJAS/WMNY). He’s the play-by-play voice of the Robert Morris University Colonials Football and Basketball teams, the Pittsburgh Passion women’s' professional football team on Root Sports, and the Chief TV play-by-play voice of WPIAL High School Football and Basketball on Comcast in Pittsburgh. Chris is the former Director of Publicity and Voice of professional soccer's Pittsburgh Riverhounds. He won his third Pittsburgh March of Dimes A.I.R. (Achievement In Radio) Award for Best Sports Play-By-Play for RMU Basketball's upset at Boston College in 2008. He called that game with Jim Duzyk. Shovlin has two other AIR Awards; one for Pittsburgh Riverhounds Pro Soccer (2003) with Steve Bell and for RMU Football (1998) with Jeff Waller. Shovlin is the only Pittsburgh play-by-play announcer to win in three different sports. Chris is a 2012 inductee into the Robert Morris University Athletic Hall of Fame; the first "active" Colonial to be so honored. He was previously inducted into the Beaver County Sports Hall of Fame in 2006. Chris appeared as a reporter (extra) in the 2012 Batman movie, "The Dark Knight Rises", which was partially shot in Pittsburgh. He is the President of the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School Board of Directors. Chris is a graduate of Westminster College and Midland High School, both in Western Pennsylvania.
