WISH 99.7 Airstaff - Chris Shovlin - Morning News


Chris Shovlin co-hosts the “Cris & Chris In The Morning Show” with Cris Winter on Today’s WISH 99.7 weekdays from 5:30 to 10:00 a.m. He’s also the station’s Director of Marketing & Promotion. He originally came to Renda Broadcasting’s Pittsburgh operation as a member of the WISH and WJAS morning shows, and hosted his own “Chris Shovlin Show” afternoons on WJAS.


Outside of WISH 99.7, Chris is the play-by-play voice of the Robert Morris University Colonials Football and Basketball teams, the Pittsburgh Passion women’s professional football team, and he is the Chief TV play-by-play voice of WPIAL High School Football and Basketball on Comcast xfinity in Pittsburgh. Chris is the only sportscaster to have won three Pittsburgh March of Dimes A.I.R. (Achievement In Radio) Awards for Best Sports Play-By-Play in three different sports; one each in football and basketball at RMU, and the other for calling Pittsburgh Riverhounds Pro Soccer. Chris is a 2012 inductee into the Robert Morris University Athletic Hall of Fame; the first "active" Colonial to be so honored. He was previously inducted into the Beaver County Sports Hall of Fame in 2006. Chris appeared as a reporter (extra) in the 2012 Batman movie, "The Dark Knight Rises", which was partially shot in Pittsburgh. He is the Past President of the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School Board. Chris is a graduate of Westminster College and Midland High School, both in Western Pennsylvania.
