Hi!

Just a note of "thanks" to all of our WISH listeners and their dogs who participated in this years "Mutt Strut" for Animal Friends. This was the first year we held the event Memorial Day weekend...and WOWIE was it a huge success!

This was the biggest turn out we have ever had for the Mutt Strut. Over 400 humans and their furry friends paraded and strut their stuff Memorial Day weekend. We had dogs of every size, color and furriness on hand and this year and the weather was picture perfect! We also tipped our hats to the men and women in the armed forces who keep us safe.


I am happy to report that the event raised close to $25,000 for the homeless animals at Animal Friends. I thank you and the animals thank you!


Special thanks to 316th ESC color guard for getting the event underway and for their service to our country. Also thanks to all the volunteers at Animal Friends and the WISH intern army. Also hugs to my new buddy Rascal, the Animal Friends resident who was my walking pal for the day, if you are looking for a fun loving Jack Russell Terrier, Rascal just could be the man of your dreams! Is he a cutie, or what?
