Gale-force winds are blowing a spectacular educational festival of the geosciences into town! Join us for STORMFEST at CARNEGIE SCIENCE CENTER – Friday, February 21st and Saturday, February 22nd.
Discover the science of weather – and the fun – with tons of activities and things to make and take. Hands-on activity stations are designed and presented by Cal U students who are currently majoring in geology, geographic information systems, mathematics, and education. Cal U students also recruit volunteers from Ohio University to assist at the event
Friday, February 21: School groups in grades K-6 will participate in StormFest activities from 10 am - 2 pm.
Saturday, February 22: StormFest is open to the general public from 10 am - 5 pm.
Nick "the Weather Dude" Walker, a meteorologist from The Weather Channel will be performing and signing autographs.
The annual educational outreach event is hosted in partnership with California University of Pennsylvania's Southwestern Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Meteorological Society.
Activities are free with paid Carnegie Science Center admission.
