Bacon Bouquet Food Hack
People love roses. People love bacon. What do you get when you put them together? A masterpiece. Why not take one of the most common and beautiful signs of your love and combine it with the food you love the most? Kuhn’s is here to help make sure you’re able to say everything you need to say… with bacon. You’ll just need toothpicks, fake flowers and some thick bacon.
Step 1: Preheat oven to 375ºF.
Step 2: Tear off the flower petals until you’re left with a bare, empty stem. (If possible, push the clay down the stem to reveal a little more of a wire for the bacon roll to sit on.)
Step 3: Take a strip of bacon, and starting at one end, roll it up tightly to form a rosette.
Step 4: Secure the roll with two toothpicks, as close to the bottom of one end as you can, to form a cross.
Step 5: Place the rose on a wire rack on top of a foil lined treat. (Repeat with all your bacon.)
Step 6: Play tray of bacon rolls into the oven, and bake 45 – 55 minutes, until they are well cooked and with a good color. Allow to cool.
Step 7: Once cool, take each roll and wiggle it onto a stem. Repeat until the whole bunch is complete.
